A 2008 bottling of 50 year old blended Scotch whisky from Ian Macleod's Isle of Skye series. As we're sure you are aware, 50 years is a very long time indeed for whisky to be maturing, making this a piece of history. Delicious history.
Tasting Note:
Nose:Punchy oak, potpourri, cranberries, raspberries, a little malt and figs on the nose.
Palate:Richly sherried. Everything is tangy and spiced - molasses, hot apple cider, Christmas pudding with flaming brandy and a touch of cracked black peppercorns.
